High-tech homes are the homes of the future
High-tech packages are becoming a must in newly-built homes
Imagine you live in a smart home that welcomes you turning the light on when you’re back form work or off after you’ve gone out; imagine a cosy home that controls the climate inside or adapt the pool temperature automatically; imagine a home that creates a thermal barrier through motorized shades to protect you from cold in winter and from heat in summer.
Complete home automation systems are increasingly being installed in spec homes and new developments. Remote-controlled lighting and security systems are becoming more and more common, not only for the comfort they provide, but also for the energy savings they permit.
Room temperature can be controlled from any distance. When the owner enters the alarm code, the thermostat gets into the “away” mode lowering or raising the temperature according to the season. Home automation systems allow homeowners to know how much power they are using in order to adapt light or heat to their actual needs.
The building of new homes with home automation features is targeted to 39-to-49-year-old home buyers who are increasingly interested in installing new technologies in their home. Integrated systems make life easier, but it is advisable to install them in houses under construction, as they would not involve costly retrofitting.
Home owners are increasingly longing to control their home via smartphone or iPad and to make the most of the latest technologies with minimum effort; therefore, home owners who would never rely on home automation systems to manage their home are becoming an endangered species!
