In October, was inaugurated by Prof. Aquila. Ferdinando di Orio, Rector of the University of L’Aquila, the new energy- autonomous, low power consumption and high performance environment building, seat of certain University of L’Aquila administrative offices.
The project is the result of an educational and scientific cooperation between the University of Parma and the chief town of Abruzzo. It was made thanks to Cogesi and Celenit, Mitsubishi Electric, the world leader in the production of electrical and electronic equipment, and Saint Gobain, which provided innovative technology solutions for the construction of a highly eco-efficient building .
The application of these technologies with high environmental performance will allow annual energy savings of 49% and a reduction in CO2 emissions of 15.7 tons. The architectural design and executive project was born for a construction system that is absolutely innovative: a dry technology layers capable of ensuring buildings with high quality standards in terms of security, speed of execution, thermo-acoustic insulation, energy performance, flexibility of use and eco-sustainability.
